RECITAL 2:      SUNDAY 18TH AUGUST.

"Voyage with ArtBurst from the East to the West!"
Visitors were transported by the interpretations of two talented musicians living in the south of France: Mariko Izumi (piano) and Michael Henderson (viola).   They took us from Moscow via the sonata in D minor by Glinka to Snape Maltings in the Aldeburgh area of Suffolk. They then performed  ‘Lachrymae’ (op. 48) composed by Benjamin Britten in 1950. The musical voyage  finished on a truly romantic note with the Sonata op. 120 N°1 by Johannes Brahms.
